ON MAKING AMENDMENTS TO THE LAW “ON BANKS AND BANKING”

Article 1. In part 5 of Article 21.11 of Law HO-68 of 30 June 1996 “On bank and banking” (hereinafter referred to as “the Law”), the words “press” and “other” shall be deleted.

Article 2. In part 2 of Article 32 of the Law the words “through mass media” shall be replaced with the words “on the home page of the bank on the Internet, as well as on the official website for public notifications of the Republic of Armenia at http://www.azdarar.am.”.

Article 3. In part 1 of Article 43 of the Law:

(1) in point “a” the words “in press within the time limit prescribed by Article 59 of this law, as well as to publish them” shall be deleted;

(2) in point “b” “. Moreover, banks shall also be obliged to publish the announcement of convening an annual general meeting also in press” shall be deleted;

(3) in the second paragraph of point “e”, the words “, in press and via other mass media” shall be deleted.

Article 4. In Article 59 of the Law the words “in press” shall be replaced with the words “on the home page of the bank on the Internet”.

Article 5. In part 3 of Article 74 the words “in press” shall be replaced with the words “on the home page of the bank on the Internet, as well as on the official website for public notifications of the Republic of Armenia at http://www.azdarar.am”.

Article 6. In Article 75 of the Law:

(1) In part 3, the words “in a press with print run of at least 2 000 copies” shall be replaced with the words “on the home page of the bank on the Internet, as well as on the official website for public notifications of the Republic of Armenia at http://www.azdarar.am”;

(2) in part 4:

a. in the first sentence, the words “a copy of the newspaper that has published the interim liquidation balance sheet” shall be replaced with the words “an identification number of a public notice on the interim liquidation balance sheet or an electronic document confirming the fact that the announcement has been published, as well as the link to the public notice”;

b. in the second sentence, the words “in another press with print run of at least 2 000 copies” shall be replaced with the words “on the home page of the bank on the Internet, as well as on the official website for public notifications of the Republic of Armenia at http://www.azdarar.am”.

Article 7. In part 3 of Article 75.1 of the Law:

(1) in the third paragraph, the words “through press or other mass media” shall be replaced with the words “by publishing on the home page of the bank on the Internet, as well as on the official website for public notifications of the Republic of Armenia at http://www.azdarar.amthrough ”;

(2) in the fourth paragraph:

a. in the first sentence, the words “through press and/or other mass media” shall be replaced with the words “by a publication on the home page of the bank on the Internet, as well as on the official website for public notifications of the Republic of Armenia at http://www.azdarar.am”,

b. in the second sentence, the words “through press and/or other mass media” shall be replaced with the words “by a publication on the home page of the bank on the Internet, as well as on the official website for public notifications of the Republic of Armenia at http://www.azdarar.am”.

Article 8. In point 3 of Article 76 of the Law the words “in press” shall be replaced with the words “on the home page of the bank on the Internet, as well as on the official website for public notifications of the Republic of Armenia at http://www.azdarar.am”.

Article 9. This Law shall enter into force on the tenth day following the day of its official promulgation.
